“Slow Moving Luminaries”, Fabricated for Art Basel, Miami 2017

For his installation in the Audemars Piguet Pavilion in 2017, Jan required five large lighted aluminum structures resembling the fenestration of nearby hotels which would float up and sink down through the water-covered roof of the building. We made the structures and developed prototypes which were used in photographic content prior to the installation.

Fabrication challenges on this project had to do with ease of installation and movement, durability in humid, saltwater conditions, weight restrictions and safety issues.
