Designed and Fabricated for Diavolo, Architecture in Motion, premiered 1999

Winner of two Lester Horton Awards for Set Design, this has been a workhorse and centerpiece for Diavolo over the years. Made of aluminum, wood, steel and polycarbonate, the “boat” as the dancers call it had to be designed and built to be battered, disasembled and reassembled thousands of times over the 20 years it has been on tour. Invaluable design and fabrication contributions were made by Mike McCluskey of McCluskey LTD and Dan Williams.
